Many folks seem to have questions about what sex is like after a simple metoidioplasty, and I'm here to tell you -- it is awesome!
While I've never been a penis-obsessed kind of guy, it is pretty damn fulfilling to finally feel like I have the bits to match my internal sense of myself. Granted, my two inches of manhood might not be as glorious as all of the images we are inundated with about masculinity, manhood, having a nice/big package, etc. For me, having lower surgery was never about achieving any of those standards. My standards for myself are the following: to see a true reflection of myself when I stand in front of the mirror naked (check); to reduce the disconnect I felt between my brain, my heart, and my genitals (check); to continue to be a sexually liberated, unashamed person (check); to give my partner something nice to suck on (check!); to preserve my ability to conceive and carry a baby in the future (check).
Now that I've clarified why I had simple meta, let me explain how sex feels different now, and how it feels the same. I'll go into some detail here, and hopefully that will be helpful for someone out there.
Sex post-simple metoidioplasty is different than before. Having the skin on the underside of my penis freed from the inner labia feels right. I get erections that can stand up fully without skin from the inner labia holding it down. I no longer have an inner labia, and this feels right and good. Oral sex feels different, though I don't have the words to explain how quite yet. When I masturbate, my dick feels farther away from my front hole than it did before, so some of the stroking is a little more complex logistically - but trust me, this has not stopped me from jerking off frequently!
Sex post-simple metoidioplasty is the same as before. I've always like penetration - both anal and front hole, and I still do. I appreciate a good fucking, and it's never been dysphoria-inducing for me. Being a transman getting fucked by a hand/dick/dildo/whatever in any orifice is gender-fucking at its finest. I love this about my sex life! My orgasms are about the same as they were before surgery - when I get off, it usually feels "internal," though my dick gets harder and I feel my orgasms in my cock more than I did before (don't know how else to explain this). I still want as much stimulation as possible - stroking my dick and being penetrated is the magic combo.

May I ask you a question about urination after healing up? I use a p stick to urinate standing up. Do you use a device for this like using a urnal? Thanks

With my current growth on T I'm able to orgasm and get my partner off by straddling her and grinding my cock against her clit. This does wonders for my dysphoria and I'm concerned that it won't be possible if my cock is repositioned a bit higher. Do you think this could be an issue? I'm also curious as to how front hole penetration has changed for you. I can usually orgasm this way by grinding against the shaft/my partners pubic bone. ReplyDeleteHey there, thanks for the compliment. It sounds like we like different things in bed, so I'm not sure I can relate to what you're describing. As I said in the post, I like rough manual stimulation - specifically, hitting my g-spot with fingers/cock/etc. It sounds like most of what you're describing is more external? As far as my cock being repositioned, it definitely sits a bit higher than before, but it's not a radical difference. Everyone's body is different though, so your results, should you have a simple meta, will be unique to your body.

ReplyDeleteI'm not really into pumping, so can't speak to that specifically. It's difficult to penetrate, but it is possible if I'm hard enough and the positioning is just right.

ReplyDeleteYes, I still plan to conceive and carry a baby in the future. None of my internal reproductive organs were removed, so this is still biologically possible. I specifically asked Dr. Bowers not to close or obstruct my vaginal opening, because I knew that this could interfere with birth.
DeleteNo, I don't ejaculate because none of my internal organs were rearranged. This surgery changed the external appearance of my genitals, but nothing changed that would have effected ejaculation.

I was under the impression that a lot of what is stimulated internally is actually part of the clitoris that is 'hidden' away. I'm worried that by freeing it from the surrounding tissue, I wont be able to feel it from the inside. You said you still enjoy frontal penetration, but have you lost any sensation? Or has the feeling changed at all?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you still check this, heh, but I'm strongly considering doing a simple release meta on the future and I was curious about the odds of loss of sensation, as well as ability to have at least somewhat penetrative activity with your shaft (I know it depends on growth with hormones etc, but I would love to be able to work PIV, even with an extender/sleeve). It sounds like our end goals for bottom surgery are pretty much the same, so I would love to hear from you, but no pressure! :)

ReplyDeleteI was wondering if this decreased the size of things that can be penetrated into your vagina? I heard that phallo massively decreased the comfort and capacity of penetrative sex, but I was wondering if metoid did the same.
Haven't gotten a comment on here in awhile. Thanks for your question! My front hole opening is about the same as pre-op (from what I recall, but it was a long time ago). I still like receiving penetration, and it's comfortable for me.
